Ever thought you needed to travel across the world to find yourself? Well, you can find yourself
right where you are, even in the cozy comfort of your bedroom. But if you’re hitting the road,
remember, traveling isn’t just about exploring new destinations—it’s also about discovering new
aspects of yourself and your connection with the divine. Sit tight as we embark on a journey,
not through distant lands, but through the corridors of faith and spirituality.
Travel and Faith: A Perfect Pairing
Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean the Holy Spirit or your relationship with God
should take a backseat. Quite the opposite, actually; as your travels may introduce you to
unfamiliar terrain, both literally and metaphorically. During such times, you will find yourself in
need of divine guidance more than ever before. Remember, you’re treading unfamiliar territory,
so let God be your compass.
Embrace the Unexpected
Sometimes your meticulously planned itinerary may suddenly hit a speed bump—flight
delays, unexpected cancellations, or unforeseen hurdles. Instead of getting frustrated, consider
it an opportunity to exercise trust in the keeper of your life. Sometimes, those detours are divine
interventions in disguise, leading you to experiences you’d never have had otherwise.
Discernment in Your Journey
While you’re out there exploring, be discerning about the local customs and practices. Sure,
those intriguing local practices might seem harmless and will pass for stunning Instagram
stories, but don’t be lured in. We don’t want to invite strange spirits into our lives. Be discerning: if something feels off, it is most likely is.
Souvenirs: Treasures or Traps?
The souvenirs! Clothes are nice, but those enticing artifacts you come across? Yes, some may
look really cool, but carry negative spiritual influences or idolatrous symbols. You definitely don’t
want to return home with some unexpected spiritual baggage. Stick to the basic souvenirs: postcards, fridge magnets, a rock from the beach etc. And with those, pray over them before bringing them into your home.
Be a LIGHT! Share the Good New of Jesus
Now, here’s a profound realization: Your journey isn’t just about you; it is an opportunity to share
the Good News of Jesus Christ. After all, we’re like living books that tell the story of our faith, just like it says in 2 Corinthians 3:2. So, when you go on your adventures, remember that you’re not just a tourist.
You’re a spiritual explorer, carrying the light of your faith with you. Your journey isn’t just
about going to different places; it’s about telling stories of hope, love, and the search for
something special. Your journey can inspire others to seek something greater.
Pray About the (seemingly) Little Things
It’s totally okay to ask God to allow your luggage to come out first at the airport. Yes, you can pray
for even for the most mundane things. If you cannot turn to your Father for the little joys of life,
then who can you ask? Remember, your heavenly Father isn’t merely guiding you on this
spiritual journey; He is there for the everyday moments too.
So, dear travel buddies, as you explore new horizons, remember that your inner journey is just as vital.
Whether you’re off to a far-off land or just taking a walk in your neighbourhood, your faith is your
travel companion. Stay true to your beliefs, trust in the divine plan, and be discerning about the
energies you encounter. Share the light of your faith with those you meet, and do not hesitate to
ask God for the little things. Happy travels, my fellow travel buddy, and may your journeys always be
a path to both discovery and spiritual growth.

This makes a lot of sense. An old song in my language says” may we not use our money to buy something that will kill us”.
Thank you for these nuggets PT❤️
